How it Works

We work with our partners to find places where, with extra resources, the partners can make a real difference in the lives of children living with the effects of conflict or natural disaster. These organizations let us know how they can expand access to school, improve the quality of learning, or give students who would not have the chance to go to high school or college the support they need. Then we connect them to sources that can provide the funding needed.

It’s simple.

We find out where help is needed most and where dollars will do the most good. And we try to be as precise as we can – we don’t want to just add to a big pot of money. We ask our trusted partners to provide us with details about the specific needs for different projects (including how many children can benefit and what type of needs there are – books, teachers, etc.). Then we share this information with funders.

We look for corporations and foundations to help fund larger projects. But, we also know that there are ways for everyone to get involved.

This is where you come in.

We’ve created online registries for partner projects, broken into detailed pieces to help you understand what they are doing to educate children of conflict. You can see in real time how much funding is needed for a specific part of the project, and then YOU CHOOSE where to make your donation. You can search the registries by organization, theme, or location.

Here is the good part.

The Education Partnership does not take a dime. Aside from the normal fees that are charged by payment processors for any website transaction, your donation is sent to the partners’ PayPal account – directly to them. This is how we add value – by finding and connecting you directly to the organizations and projects that will give kids in the worst circumstances new hope and the tools they need to build a better future.

We know it isn't easy.

We understand that working in conflict, post-conflict, and regions devastated by natural disasters isn't easy. All of our partners' registries are developed based on the on-the-ground needs at a given time assuming full, immediate funding. While all of our partners have agreed to make a concerted effort to use the donations from the registries to fund the project needs as they are shown on our website, we know that sometimes needs change. Because of this, the project items in our registry listings can only symbolically represent our partners' needs and the possible uses for your donations. But rest assured that your choices from the registries will be sent as a donation to that partner organization as a restricted donation which will be used for educational programming in the region of the world you selected. And you can be certain your donation will have a direct impact because all of our partners are leaders in their field and deeply committed to the children they serve.
